European Primary School Project "Using English as a means of communication in mixed-culture classrooms"

A state primary school in Cracow, Poland is looking for project partners from Europe interested in developing the idea of “Using English as a means of communication in mixed-culture classrooms” (KA229, starting September 2018).
Observing constant changes in the local society and being aware of the growing number of foreigners coming to live, work and study in our community, we face the need to find a way of successful communication. For this reason our project aims at improving both teachers’ and students’ skills in terms of using everyday English and ICT.
The 12-month project will be based on the following steps:
creating an interactive guide for new school-comers to help them find their way in the community of project participants,
sharing ideas and comments about the guide through the means of online communication
organizing a school exchange for students to give them an opportunity to try living and studying in a foreign country and thus experience possible difficulties connected with that
organizing a teachers-teach-teachers session in which participants of the project would share their ideas for teaching and managing various everyday school situations
evaluating the project by creating a collection of students’ and teachers’ reflections on the actual use of the guide and the exchange experience in a form of a school newsletter.
We are looking for partners ready to participate in the project, preferably primary school with students aged 10-14 and teachers ready to share their experience.
