EU Code Week Malta Summer School 2021

The Directorate for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills in collaboration with the EU Code Week Team in Brussels and eSkills Malta Foundation is organising the EU Code Week Malta Summer School 2021.  This train the trainer programme will be organised for the first time in our country and aims to give new insights to educators about different approaches to implement coding and computational thinking in the learning process focusing on online educational games, robotics and creating digital stories.  During these training sessions participants will also have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Code.org Computer Science Fundamentals curriculum. Educators who will participate in the EU Code Week Malta Summer School, will be encouraged to become multipliers of the EU Code Week campaign in their schools and will be invited to participate in coding and computational thinking events organised the Directorate for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills.  More information about this event can be found below:

Dates:  From 6th to the 13th September 2021.

Duration:  Participants will undergo 15 hours of training.

Time:  09:00 – 12:00

Venue:  Directorate for Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills/Online.

Target Audience:  All educators of all subjects in Primary and Secondary schools from State, Non-state, Church and Independent who are interested to implement coding and computational thinking strategies in a cross-curricular approach.

Prerequisites:  Basic IT skills.
