Gaziantep University Scholarship Programme for Syrian Students 2020-2021 is a joint programme of Gaziantep University and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs aiming to support Syrian university students at Gaziantep University. The programme supports 250 undergraduate, 50 graduate students for the 2020-2021 academic year. Syrian undergraduate and graduate (MS/A, Ph.D.) students enrolled at any Turkish or English taught programs of Gaziantep University are welcomed to apply for the scholarship. TÖMER and ARABIC PROGRAM STUDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME.

Selection criteria are based on the candidate’s academic success, motivation to engage in community work, and economical need, all of which are reflected in the application form in detail. In that respect, the application form should be filled in the most detailed and careful way. Preselected students will be called for an interview to attain a final list of students who are qualified to get the scholarship.

The scholarship covers tuition fees with a monthly allowance to be granted for 36 months according to the students' studying year. The students will additionally get food vouchers for free lunch in campus. 

For continuation of the scholarship support, students need to have a grade of over 1.75 ( out of 4), at the same time, they need to have attended to a minimum of 4 activities organized by the support office, as well as participating in all his/her classes during the academic year. At the end of each semester, student's attendance and enrolment status will be checked. 
With the responsibility of meeting all the conditions;
*If you are an English preparatory class student, you may get a scholarship for 3 years. 
* If you are a first-grade student, you may get a scholarship for 3 years. 
*If you are a second-grade student, you may get a scholarship for 3 years.
*If you are a third-grade student, you may get a scholarship for 2 years.
*If you are a fourth-grade (or final grade) student you get a scholarship for 1 year.
