A TEACHERS’ GUIDE for the learning module HOME ECONOMICS

The teachers guide fot the learning module Home economics for vocational and adult education was prepared in the framework of the project ‘Collaboration towards a new learning module for competent home support’, which was approved in the 2nd call for proposals KA2, KA210-VET - Smaller partnerships in vocational and professional education ERASMUS + 2021-2027, published by the Center RS za mobilnosti in evropske programe izobraževanja in usposabljanja on the website www.cmepius.si. The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.

Partners in the project:

 • Secondary School of Forestry, Woodworking and Health Care Postojna, Slovenia,

 • DEOS, integrated care for the elderly, Slovenia,

 • Secondary School in Čakovec, Croatia.

About the project:

The main objective of the project is to develop or complement the existing teaching module of the elective curriculum of the educational programme of paramedic-nursing, or to upgrade the existing one at the Secondary School in Čakovec. As educational institutions in the field of health, the schools feel a social responsibility to respond to the needs of society and to try to make life easier for both the elderly, who are a vulnerable group, and the students, who they want to prepare well for the field of home care work when they start working in it.

A teachers guide is also suitable for adult education. For example the DEOS partner will use it for the retraining of adults who will decide to work in homes for the elderly in the field of home assistance. The leading partner will use the manual in the education of adults - obtaining the national professional qualification Social care worker at home.

The project is about adapting secondary vocational education to the needs of the labour market, i.e. training future staff to provide home help.  http://ss-cakovec.skole.hr/projekti/s_sodelovanjem_do_novega_u_nega_modula_za_kompetentno_izvajanje_pomo_i_na_domu
