EDGE Empowering Digital Teachers ON LINE COURSE
The purpose of the EDGE project is to address the rising issue of lacking knowledge and self-efficacy of teachers/lectures regarding the implementation of digital learning. Therefore, the EDGE partners, coordinated by the University of Hannover, aim at developing guidelines as well as an innovative training path in order to support teachers/lecturers in applying digital learning.
Between November 2022 and January 2023, the EDGE partners piloted the Edge on line course developed on the Canvas platform. Around 75 participants from all the Edge partner countries were enrolled.
The course has been designed to help educators build their confidence and skills around using digital technology to support the learning and teaching process. There are 7 modules each with a quiz included. Learners are required to complete all 7 modules and and score at least 80% in all of the quizzes. The modules are the following:
- Introduction
- Digital Resources
- Communication and Collaboration
- Teaching and Learning
- Empowering Learners and Facilitating Learners' Digital Competence
- Inclusive Digital Learning
- Assessment
The Empowering Digital Teachers course is now available here in all the partnership languages.
You can either decide to take the course online, or hosting it on your own Learning Management System (CANVAS and MOODLE) .
