I am McRhon Banderlipe I, a graduate student at the University of Glasgow, and enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus International Master Adult Education for Social Change (IMAESC). I am writing to explore the possibility of doing a placement with any relevant organisation as part of my academic requirement for next semester.
Our IMAESC programme is comprised of 3 academic semesters and 1 semester for dissertation writing. During each of the academic semesters, we have a placement module where we work with an identified partner organisation in our respective mobility for 40 hours to support their work, particularly in the areas of teaching adults, curriculum development for adult learning courses and programme evaluation. I did my first placement here in Glasgow during the 1st semester.Next semester, our cohort is supposed to move to Malta and attend our semester at the University of Malta. Given the evolving pandemic and with UK-based travellers being restricted from travelling outside, I decided to stay in Glasgow and continue my programme here. As we are not required anymore to travel to Malta unless travel restrictions have been eased, I am starting to look for organisations in Europe whom I could work with for my placement module virtually or face to face. Among the competencies I can possibly offer to the interested organisation would be as follows:
- Business and project development, strategy and marketing of your current education projects, including proposal development
- Research and capability development, stakeholder engagement and communications
- Curriculum development, facilitation and instruction of learning programmes
- Programme evaluation and report writing of current and closing programmes
As for my personal background, I worked for 8 years at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where I was the Head of Programmes for Lifelong Learning for our client organisations in Southeast Asia. I headed the business development, programme management and evaluation of these programmes.I am willing to discuss the objectives and learning outcomes of my placement module at your convenient time and date. I look forward to hearing from any of our interested organisations. I will also be happy to furnish a copy of my CV as needed. Thank you very much.
