Social sustainability in a country or region is not possible without having the whole population on board; no one should be left behind. It means that a wide range of policies and initiatives need to be implemented: to ensure interconnectedness and include the remote areas; to ensure democratic values and critical use if ICT possibilities; and to bridge the digital divide and ensure equality by raising the level of basic digital skills of adults and young people.

In the last decades, in response to the large numbers of children with conduct disorders and the shortage of professional personnel, there has been an increasing emphasis on training parents as therapists for their own children. Parents who have children with disabilities are often reported to have physical and psychological distress related to caring for their children. Children with behavioral disabilities may manifest a wide range of difficulties in social adjustment and/or social communication and social relationships.

Po skoraj štirih letih delovanja Večgeneracijskega centra Skupaj pod okriljem Razvojno izobraževalnega centra Novo mesto je priložnost za oceno rezultatov izvedenih aktivnosti in učinkov posameznih vsebin na vse sodelujoče in lokalno okolje naše regije. Projekt, ki ga sofinancirata MDDSZ in ESS, je socialno usmerjen in približan tistim uporabnikom, ki potrebujejo spodbudo in podporo na različnih področjih svojega bivanja in delovanja. Partner v projektu je Ljudska univerza Kočevje, OE Podjetniškega inkubatorja. Sodelujoče občine so MO Novo mesto, Dolenjske in Šmarješke Toplice, Straža in Škocjan ter Kočevje, Kostel in Sodražica.

Intercultural Training for Educators is the result of a European Commission Erasmus+ grant we were awarded 2 years ago, with partners from the UK, Finland, Italy and Greece. We started out looking at refugee and newly arrived migrant learners, but our needs analysis research showed that educators of migrant adult learners more broadly (including international students) felt that they did not have the tools to support learners or manage intercultural classrooms.

Intercultural Training for Educators: InterTrainE course launch event

The 2-year InterTrainE project includes 7 partners from 4 countries (UK, Finland, Italy and Greece) and has developed an intercultural training programme for educators teaching adult migrants. The project is led by Heriot-Watt University and the Coordinator is Dr Katerina Strani from the Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies. Dans le projet MobileBE, huit organisations d'éducation des adultes de sept pays européens ont collaboré pendant près de trois ans afin de créer de nouvelles méthodes d’apprentissage pour des adultes ayant besoin d'une éducation de base. L'accent était mis sur le développement d'activités pour les personnes en situation particulièrement difficile. 16 nouvelles formes d'enseignement et d'apprentissage ont été développées. L’équipe du projet a produit neuf documentaires vidéo de ces nouvelles méthodes.

"I would like to share with you my experience working in the area of voluntary work. I will focus on some of the aspects of how to adapt to the new situation in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, all the trainings of the Women's Voluntary Defence Organization had to be suspended. one of the members with a background in educational technology made a call to all the volunteer instructors in the community asking who would be willing to conduct a basic training in organisational training and safety as an online course. Together with several other volunteer instructors, I was ready for this new challenge, and became an online trainer overnight."

Esta pandemia no es un callejón sin salida para nuestra misión, sino más bien una oportunidad para reflexionar, adaptarnos a las nuevas necesidades y a las nuevas prioridades establecidas por y para los profesionales que cuidamos".

Edukacja więzienna – twarda strefa?

19 stycznia 2021 roku o godzinie 14.00 odbędzie się bezpłatne spotkanie online na temat edukacji w zakładach karnych. 

Wydarzenie będzie prowadzone przez dr Victorię Knight, dyrektor Ośrodka Badań nad Więźniami i Probacjami (Prison and Probation Research Hub) na Uniwersytecie De Montfort, która omówi z Jamesem Kingiem, dyrektorem ds. edukacji w Szkockiej Służbie Więziennej i autorem strategii, jego wyniki i sposób, w jaki podstawowe zasady wpłynęły na jego niedawny raport Europris Expert Group dotyczący edukacji więźniów.
