We organized a seminar about learning at the workplace in the 21st century. We gave a seminar to the teachers and trainees of our institution in the conference hall of our institution.

In this seminar, we took advantage of the presentation prepared by Hüseyin Kaygın and also used EPALE's thematic pages about workplace learning. We sincerely thank our teachers and trainees for their contributions.

 

Changing and increasing skills demands, coupled with economic, demographic and technological developments are making it more important than ever for Member States to have in place modern adult learning systems. All adults, regardless of their level of education or qualifications, need opportunities and incentives to continue learning throughout life, whether it be for maintaining their employability, for fuller participation in our digital society, or for personal fulfilment.

Family, information and publicity meeting was held in Erzurum by the Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and Social Services. Personnel working in various organizations attended the meeting. It was stated that awareness raising activities were carried out in Erzurum to raise awareness about foster families. ’’ 'For the healthy development of children, they need a warm family environment that will protect, love, support, provide confidence and meet their social and financial needs.

It all started with a recommendation for training. When I heard it would include 10-12 hours of work a day throughout 7 days, I was quite surprised. Especially since I felt the enjoyment and even enthusiasm of the speaker who had actually attended this training. I was astonished and this is when I started to feel really CURIOUS.

How can such intense training possibly be effective? I decided to find out. Slightly suspicious and curios like Sherlock Holmes, I was heading to a lovely Dutch town to solve this mystery.

Higher education institutions have developed postgraduate work based curricula to incorporate employer perspectives regarding the learning and development needs of the professional workforce. Within these work based curricula there is an assumption that work based projects have some sort of utility and impact for the work place alongside the student’s own professional development.

La Consejería de Educación y Empleo de la Junta de Extremadura ha publicado la baremación definitiva de las solicitudes y la relación de los candidatos propuestos para premio extraordinario, accésit y mención honorífica de los Premios Extraordinarios de Formación Profesional de Grado Superior correspondientes al curso 2018/2019.

Atakum Public Education Center, students attending the university preparatory course were given training by Motivation for Success during the university preparation process by Bilsen ŞAHİN, Education Specialist and Student Coach.

The training emphasized the development of a positive perspective and self-confidence in order to overcome the obstacles to the students' test anxiety and success. The importance of believing in success and planned work was explained.

Partners for a KA204 Erasmus+ project

EOI Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife in Spain is a publicly-funded institution for language learning, a language school catering for adult education, and we are looking for partners for a KA204 Erasmus+ project.

EPALE Serbia National Support Service issues an electronic magazine tied to thematic focuses on EPALE. The magazine contains a selection of most red blogs on the platform translated into Serbian and other articles relevant to adult education in Serbia and Europe.

In accordance with the EPALE thematic focus in the period form March to May 2019, this issue of magazine is dedecated to the topic of citizenship education.

Durante cuatro sesiones de una hora se visualizó la ópera Madama Butterfly en el salón de actos del módulo socio-cultural del centro penitenciario Pamplona I. El objetivo que se perseguía con esta actividad era abrir un momento de reflexión entre los internos sobre valores como la amistad, la fidelidad y el respeto a la diferencia cultural.

Wszystko zaczęło się od rekomendacji pewnego szkolenia. Kiedy usłyszałam, że program treningu zakłada 10-12 godzin pracy dziennie przez 7 dni, byłam zadziwiona. Tym bardziej że w kolejnych słowach wyczułam zadowolenie i entuzjazm osoby, która go przeszła. I tu pojawiła się konsternacja, za którą podążyło ZACIEKAWIENIE.

ICT skills for Educators

Computing and IT is required by all businesses and jobs in today’s world. Information and Communication technology (ICT) has the potentialict_3 to transform teaching and learning processes. According to a recent study in OECD countries, students are more sophisticated in their use of technology than teachers; an inherent discrepancy between student knowledge and usage of ICTs with the abilities of teacher to use ICTs. This suggest that teacher inexperience and skill deficiencies may often be a fundamental factor which prevents the effectiveness of ICT use in education. The same study reveals that the most effective uses of ICT are those in which the teacher, aided by ICTs, may challenge understanding and thinking of pupils, and this can be done through whole-class discussions and/or individual/small group workshops using ICTs. Nowadays, it is widely accepted that the use of ICTs should not aim at completely transforming teacher practices in and of itself but rather enabling and supporting the move from traditional ‘teacher-centric’ teaching styles to more ‘learner-centric’ methods. In other words, making each one of the students active and fully engaged. The ‘ICT skills for Educators’ course is designed to enable participants to improve their teaching practices with the use of specific ICT tools, such as smart boards, web conferencing and webinars, among others, thus, creating a ‘learner-centric’ classroom. This is an ideal course for all teachers, educators & trainers interested in continuing professional development (CPD).

Det var inte många år sedan, men det känns ibland som om det var en evighet. 2011 lanserade Mozilla konceptet med Open Badges (ofta översatt som kompetensmärken på svenska). Tanken var, och är, enkel. Vi lär oss i många olika miljöer och sammanhang, och en hel del av detta syns ingenstans. Skolvärldens traditioner väger tungt, och för många är skolbänken den enda platsen för inlärning, och betyg det enda beviset. Men världen utvecklas.

Our School consists of Department of Information Technologies, Department of Electrical - Electronic Technology, Department of Machinery Technology, Department of Metal Technology, Department of Wood Technology, Department of Motor Vehicles Technology, Map - Land Registry - Cadastral Department and Department of Construction Technology.

Se entiende por Educación Secundaria para Personas Adultas la adaptación de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria a las condiciones y necesidades de la población adulta. Se partirá de los aprendizajes previos adquiridos por las personas adultas, ya se hayan realizado por procedimientos formales, no formales o por la experiencia, y serán tenidos en cuenta en el acceso a estas enseñanzas, por lo que podrán convalidarse parte de ellos.

Ministarstvo za obrazovanje, nauku, kulturu i sport Zeničko-dobojskog kantona, u saradnji i uz finansijsku podršku njemačke organizacije DVV International - Ured za Bosnu i Hercegovinu, organiziralo je u Zenici okrugli sto o temi „Unapređenje saradnje obrazovanja odraslih i privrede". Na skupu su sudjelovali predstavnici te institucija obrazovanja, privrede i poslodavaca, sektora rada i zapošljavanja te lokalnih zajednica u ZDK-u.

U organizaciji Ministarstva za obrazovanje, nauku i mlade Kantona Sarajevo i njemačke organizacije  DVV International, Ured za BiH organiziran je okrugli sto o temi povezanosti privrede i djelatnosti obrazovanja odraslih u Kantonu Sarajevo. Uz organizatore skupa, prisustvovali su mu i predstavnici registrovanih organizatora obrazovanja odraslih u Kantonu Sarajevo, predstavnici Službe za zapošljavanje  i Privredne komore KS.

Las experiencias en el ámbito educativo buscan asentar la educación emocional desde el trabajo con los más jóvenes. Pero la educación emocional es en si misma un proceso de aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida, con lo que también puede encontrar cabida en educación de personas adultas. Nunca es tarde, y proyectos como el desarrollado en el CEPA de Reinosa, muestran los buenos resultados que pueden obtenerse. De hecho, su trabajo en este campo le valió el premio a la mejor experiencia de educación emocional en SIMO Educación 2018.
