EPALE Awards 2018 Category - Adult Educator Award Second runner-up, Luke Bajona The Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability within the Ministry for Education and Employment hosted the EPALE (Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe) Awards 2018 on Tuesday 23 October. The ceremony was a celebration of adult education initiatives and provided formal recognition of adult learners and adult educators.

The first Short-Term Staff Training of the project “Combating loneliness trough learning” took place in Jaunpils, Latvia from 4th to 8th of June, 2018. Through the week project partners – Dacorum Community Action (Great Britain), Frederacja FOSa (Poland), Universidade Senor de Evora (Portugal) were introduced by Latvia partner, Jaunpils municipality, to more than ten different activities, which bring people together for learning. Jaunpils is a country side municipality of 2.5 thousand inhabitants in a distance of 1.5-hour drive from capital city of Latvia, Riga.

The Department for Secondary Vocational Education, Adult Education and Lifelong Learning of the Agency for Pre- Primary, Primary and Secondary Education, which implements the EPALE project, organized the Final EPALE Conference in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past two-year period. The Agency for Pre- Primary, Primary and Secondary Education has implemented EPALE project since 2015 with the aim of improving the adult education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and approaching European educational standards.

     Our first activity in 2018-2019 academic year was the art exhibition as Merkezefendi Public Education Centre and Evening Art School. Exhibition held in the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Merkezefendi. The arts painted by the trainees of our Art Teacher Ebru Ertuğrul. The ribbon was cut by Denizli Governor Hasan Karahan, Merkezefendi District Governor Adem Uslu, Merkezefendi Mayor Muhammet Subaşıoğlu and the other protocol members. 87 arts was exhibited in the art gallery which painted by 16 trainees.

Istnieje wiele przesłanek za tym, żeby korzystać z gier szkoleniowych. Zwłaszcza z perspektywy trenera i uczestnika. Warto się jednak zastanowić czy dla managera, który ma zapłacić za szkolenie z użyciem gry jest to równie korzystne. Jeśli chcielibyśmy oprzeć się konkretnych badaniach naukowych w tym temacie to natrafimy na niezwykle trudny problem. Okazuje się występuje duża trudność w ocenie, czy gra jest lepszym narzędziem szkoleniowym od tradycyjnego wykładu lub odgrywania scenek.

More frequent use of information technologies in teaching and the need for improving the learning process have lead to the occurrence of the so-called Massive Open Online Courses – MOOC. Created under the umbrella of university education and technical sciences, these types of courses have become popular around the world in the last ten years, as reflected by the following figures*: by the end of 2017, there were 9400 courses attended by 81 million of people worldwide, whereas 800 universities from different countries offered at least one course of this type. We will try to explain briefly what MOOC exactly is and in which manner it offers opportunities for vocational training.

Contemporary education, the world of work, and career guidance and counseling as well, recognize different starting points, strengths and resources for different groups of people. As practitioners in these areas, it is evident that some clients have different problems to access the world of work and education. For example, some of them might have problems with physical or mental health or they are living in deprived and/or violent environment. We recognize that working with people from vulnerable groups requires specific education and specific programs of work. In the next lines we will present the key points that should be conisdered when it comes to planning and delivering career guidance services for adults from vulnerable groups.

At the Criminal-correctional institution (KPZ) in Sombor since January this year, the "Step by Step" club was designed to provide support to prisoners through work and education in order to increase the percentage of the success of their reintegration into society, but also to reduce the risk of a criminological relapse. The thing that makes this program special is that it includes members of their families, and everyone who wants to contribute to the reintegration and adaptation of prisoners to the conditions of life in freedom.

Der Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung hat nach 2017 zum zweiten Mal einen Deutschen Nachhaltigkeitsalmanach herausgegeben. Der Nachhaltigkeitsalmanach 2018 präsentiert in zwölf Beiträgen und auf 120 Seiten Ideen und Taten für eine zukunftsfähige, gerechte und weltoffene Gesellschaft im Jahr 2030. Der RNE möchte damit das gesellschaftliche Engagement für die Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 sichtbarer machen und verbreitern. Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte sind in diesem Jahr die Themen nachhaltige Finanzwirtschaft, Bildung, Kultur und Kommunen.

U andragoškim teorijama postoji nesklad oko iskoristivosti andragoških načela u obrazovanju odraslih osoba s invaliditetom: jedni ih smatraju korisnima, a drugi smatraju da teorijski okvir područja obrazovanja odraslih ne pruža dovoljno smjernica za provedbu obrazovanja osoba s invaliditetom. Teorijski okvir cjeloživotnog učenja, kao važan dio suvremene andragoške teorije, osigurava dodatni prostor za pojašnjenje korisnosti informacijsko komunikacijske tehnologije u obrazovanju odraslih osoba s invaliditetom.

#ROKRELACJI #RR, Rok Relacji w Edukacji to oddolna akcja nauczycieli i rodziców z pasją. Autorami pomysłu są Marta Rosińska i Grzegorz Śpiewak. Jej celem jest wszechstronna promocja budowania dobrych relacji w naszych szkołach oraz miejscach pracy. Celem jest też wymienianie się pomysłami i scenariuszami lekcji czy warsztatów, które w praktyczny sposób pokażą, jak tworzyć i pielęgnować takie relacje w szkole i pokoju nauczycielskim czy firmie. Jest to akcja, do której dołączyć może każdy komu leżą na sercu relacje w kontekście edukacji, w szkole czy miejscu pracy. W ramach akcji uczestnicy/zainteresowani starają się propagować ideę dobrych relacji w kontekście edukacji, rozwoju edukatorów, dzielą się doświadczeniami w tej dziedzinie. W ramach akcji odbywają się konferencje, webinaria czy warsztaty, które prowadzą uczestnicy i ambasadorowie akcji oraz zapraszani goście.
