Adult education policy is being shaped at the international level through several instruments – global commitments, agreed agendas, global programmes and common actions. Literacy is widely recognized as one of the most important goals on the global agendas – including both the EFA, adopted in 2000, and the more recent SDGs. The authors have taken active part in the creation of policy and have been able to conduct an analysis of the concepts, actors and events, and of policy planning and implementation.

Práve starnutie sa stáva jedným z kľúčových faktorov a výziev 21. storočia, ktoré významnou mierou ovplyvní charakter a celkové fungovanie spoločnosti. Aj keď Slovensko momentálne ešte patrí skôr k mladším populáciám v európskom priestore, východisková situácia v podobe charakteru vekovej štruktúry ho predurčuje k dynamickému starnutiu v horizonte najbližších 10 – 15 rokov.

For a long time, basic adult education has been related to the skills of literacy and numeracy as crucial for entering job market. Therefore, it is understandable why adult education teachers may hesitate to adopt ICT in classroom. However, ICT has become a necessary part of adult education because it makes learning possible anywhere and at any time. The vast majority of ICT investment worldwide goes into schools and universities, not paying attention to the disadvantaged groups. Another issue is the lack of university online classes offered to adults. Europe is scarce in this field unlike the United States who has put a lot of money and effort into online adult education.

Las pruebas libres para la obtención del título de Formacion Profesional se ofrecen como una vía alternativa para obtener las titulaciones de Técnico o Técnico Superior sin necesidad de cursar las enseñanzas de Ciclos Formativos de grado medio y grado superior de forma presencial o a distancia.

Son competencia de cada Comunidad Autónoma, encargadas de organizar y gestionar las pruebas. Cada Comunidad decide qué títulos, cuándo y dónde se hacen cada convocatoria.

ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL EDUCATION

The job of an educator is very challenging and requires a lot of patience, creativity and a variety of materials that must be adapted to the age group that is being worked with, but also to the curriculum that needs to be mastered. Although we can cover the same topic with different age groups, the content of this topic will not be the same because the initial knowledge is different, which means that we can not use the same teaching material in working with different age groups.

European Partners needed for digitalisation and finalisation of innovative integration programmes for refugees and other migrants.

We wish to bring together a number (3-4) of European partners to collate, digitalise and disseminate three existing ERAMUS+ projects. We will create a set of materials and syllabuses to provide existing and potential practitioners working with refugees and other migrants to provide them with a ‘best practice’ guide for successful integration. The accessible digitalisation of the materials is essential for the project to have meaningful value.
