Adult Participation in Lifelong Learning -The impact of using a 12-months or 4-weeks reference period

Språk: EN

Publicerad Eva ALOS MELCHOR

The focus of this technical briefing is the participation to adult lifelong learning and how the use of different methods for collecting primary data on this topic may result in contrasting outcomes. It aims to provide an insight on the state of the art about the different surveys available and the problems that arise in terms of comparability and coverage, and to provide some suggestions for data users in the field of adult participation to lifelong learning. More specifically, the briefing examines the impact of using a 12-month or 4-week reference period on access to and intensity of adult learning. It investigates how the different coverage periods can affect the comparability among the most relevant labour force surveys.
