The current trend for machine learning, AI and robotics is changing the human-machine relationship. The Human: Machine – A joint venture through learning event will focus on the role of learning and consider how lifelong learning encourages a drive for change in technology and technological advancement.

Delegates will be able to explore technical and human skills that will be needed in the future, as well as discuss issues and opportunities arising through the use of technology. Topics for discussion will focus on a range areas, including technological advancement in the workplace, how to support colleagues who are at risk of losing their jobs to automation and learning strategies that can help prepare organisations for change while keeping the business running smoothly. The event will provide a mix of presentations, experience sharing and roundtable discussions.
 

Keynote speakers will share their knowledge and insight at the event:

  • Patrick Brione
    Head of Policy and Research at the Involvement and Participation Association and author of ‘Mind over Machines: New Technology and Employment Relationships
  • Rohini Bhattacharya
    Director of Apprenticeships, Pearson on ‘Learning for an optimistic future: The Pearson Future of Skills Research’
  • Employer view (speaker tba) – Learning for technological change
     

The event is directed at anyone involved in learning at work for their organisations.
