Due to the spread of covid-19, we have cancelled these upcoming Art Therapy Workshops.
We apologies for any inconvenience this causes, however, our first priority must be the health and safety of of all in our community.
We hope to run further workshops and conferences later in the year. If you would like to be updated on these please subscribe to EPALE Ireland’s newsletter which is sent quarterly
Community and adult educators often work with students who are in the middle of, or have come through, difficult and stressful experiences. This workshop cannot make you an art therapist, but it will give you some useful exercises, drawing ideas from art therapy, to integrate into a classroom to help students to relax and reflect.
The workshop will give a brief overview into what art therapy itself is. Then it will have a practical session where participants can experience an art-based exercise which can be brought into a classroom setting.
This event is aimed at educators who are teaching/training adult learners. Any subject(s). You do not need any prior knowledge of art or any artist abilities to take part.
All materials for this workshop will be provided. Materials will be those which are easily accessible, to enable the participants to replicate the experience with their own students.
The workshop is free to attend but participants are asked to registered in advance for the EPALE platform. You can freely register for EPALE here.
This workshop is hosted by Léargas and EPALE (the Electronic Platform for Adult Educators), which is co-funded by the European Commission (under Erasmus+) and SOLAS.
