Stories of learning about pedagogics and NGO training
/en/file/siviksestaepalejpg-3siviksesta_epale.jpg

We are pedagogical employees from three Finnish study associations (study centres). In this blog, we would like to tell you stories of our learning experiences in the field of adult education in European context. We are going to increase our competence in pedagogic skills and know-how with the help of an ERASMUS+ KA1-project called “European Educational Know-how Supporting Civil Society”.
The project makes it possible for twenty-five trainers and pedagogues to attend courses and do job shadowing in Europe during 2017 and 2018. An essential part of our project is to share good practices with each other, our organisations and our colleagues in Europe by telling about our experiences in this blog and in workshops. We will be happy to increase co-operation and enhance peer learning between study associations in Finland and the people and organisations we will get to know during this project in different countries.
Study associations are adult education institutes. We organize, generate and support non-formal and lifelong learning. Study associations involved in the project are Kansalaisfoorumi, KSL and Sivis. We all provide education foremost with and for associations and NGOs. Therefore, our common strategy in this project is to better our skills and know-how in NGO training from various viewpoints. We also wish to deepen our understanding of promoting peer learning, which is in our pedagogical core. We will brush up our international skills and widen our European co-operation network. So many benefits!
Our workers are going to improve their knowledge in e.g. coaching, e-learning, pedagogic methods, facilitating study circles, evaluation and strategic planning in associations. We are glad to share our experiences of our study trips in this blog. Links to the blog articles will appear below when people return from their journeys. Enjoy the stories!

Moi Anna,
kiitos kivasta blogikokoelmasta!
Anni Koo
