Public open university Cakovec is a institution in Republic of Croatia for adult education and lifelong learning education.

University has a long and rich tradition in adult education and lifelong learning education and it is included in strong network of partners from Croatia and abroad. For years University has been answering on demands of the labour market and offering new programs and training courses for scarce skills,  what increases possibilities for new employements of unemployed persons and increases the unempleyement rate.

University has a rich experience in international projects concerning adult education.

Strategic partnerships for stimulating innovations

The name of the project '' Expert in education for intercultural competence''

The project will develop innovative results, curriculum and pedagogical literature. The dissemination of project activities is included in the form of using new product and innovative ideas.

The project is based on development of abilities of teachers in adult education for work with marginalized groups such as Roma people and migrants and also on improvement and expansion of offers through innovative approaches. The programme will give a strong incentive to the strategic framework for cooperation in education and training, including all stakeholders.

Every partner will be a carrier of the making of one module and the other partners will participate in every module with its suggestions, advices and modifications based on situation in countries of partner organizations. The Open University Čakovec and Faculty of Teacher Education Zagreb will be working on all modules as coordinators of the making of curriculum and its monitoring. Individual modules are assigned to partners according to their knowledge, experience and activities of the organization.

With accreditation of curriculum after the end of the project and its practical implementation, we will have a high quality staff employed in partner organizations. They will specialize through parallel work with parents of Roma children and migrant children, especially on the matter of efficient
