Erasmus Accreditations – a New Path to Mobility
Every year, the European Union funds thousands of mobilities and professional development activities for teachers and other school staff. For the first time, the potential funding beneficiaries can apply for the Erasmus accreditation. Thanks to this, the awarded organisations gain simplified access to Key Action 1 funding opportunities under the future Programme (2021-2027).
Why
The aim of the new Erasmus programme is to build more inclusive, stronger and long-lasting partnerships with schools, VET providers and adult organisations. Erasmus accreditations are a tool for organisations that want to open-up their activities to cross-border exchange and cooperation and are designed for organisations that plan to implement learning mobility activities on a regular basis. Award of the Erasmus accreditation confirms that the applicant has set up a plan to implement high quality mobility activities as part of a wider effort to develop their organisation. This call for accreditation is published to facilitate the application of potential beneficiaries of Union grants as soon as the legal basis is adopted by the European legislators.
What
The course aims to introduce international coordinators, school heads and teachers to the Erasmus accreditations, what it is and how their organisations can benefit from it. It will give participants an overview on the Erasmus accreditations in the framework of the new funding programme and help them to understand how to apply for it by starting to reflect on their organisation’s Erasmus Plan.
As a conclusion, participants will be asked to take a quiz to test their knowledge. Additionally, up to two webinars with National Agencies are organised as part of this course.
