Applicant organisation needed for Erasmus + KA2 project on Family Learning

CPIP Romania - Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning is preparing a project application on family learning and needs a promoter for the project who is willing to submit the application at their National Agency. All the administrative and development work will be done by CPIP. The project applicant should have previous experience in coordinating EU funded projects and solid expertise in the field of adult education/basic skills for adults.

Integrating minority, migrant & refugee children at European schools & society

According to the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR), over 1 million asylum-seekers and migrants reached the European Union via the Mediterranean in 2015 alone; that is, nearly five times as many as in 2014. The UN’s refugee agency estimates that 84 percent are from countries that, because of war or other circumstances, qualify them as refugees. This overwhelming refugee crisis poses many immediate challenges that should be addressed at different levels within the European Union.

Definim alfabetizarea ca un continuum, de la alfabetizarea emergentă, la alfabetizarea fluentă și prezentăm factorii care influențează cât de departe poate ajunge un cursant adult. Sunt identificate patru niveluri la care apar obstacolele în calea progresului alfabetizării, dar pe care adulții le pot trasforma în puncte forte.

Innovativeness came as a next level of creativity used through the development of activities adjusted to our students, many of whom live trapped in a vicious circle of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and a lack of a permanent place of residence, often accompanied by cultural and traditional limitations or some unfortunate circumstances (socially disadvantaged families, domestic violence, crime). In the new circumstances, she did not have much time to prepare and analyse different approaches – she had to act right away.

In this paper the Centre for Social Justice outlines several major barriers faced by disadvantaged individuals in the context of adult learning. It was drafted before the coronavirus pandemic’s inception and so focuses on boosting the prospects of low-skilled, low-wage employees in a labour market that, at the time of writing, was buoyant and fluid. However, many of the challenges, and solutions, outlined in this paper will be more salient than ever as we emerge from lockdown and pick ourselves up.

De moord op George Floyd, die leidde tot wereldwijde antiracistische protesten, is een katalysator geweest voor kritisch onderzoek naar en discussie over structureel racisme in de UK. De mensen die deel uitmaken van een zwarte en etnische minderheidsgemeenschap en die Engels leren via ESOL-lessen (English for Speakers of Other Languages) hebben waarschijnlijk dagelijks te maken met racisme. Hoe komt het dan dat de onderwerpen en materialen van ESOL zelden weergeven waar deze leerlingen in hun hun dagelijks leven mee te maken hebben? Hoe zou een antiracistisch curriculum voor ESOL eruit zien en hoe kunnen leraren de ontwikkeling ervan ondersteunen?

In today’s fast changing world adult education is becoming more and more important because the number of adult students is growing. Täiskasvanute muusikaalane õpe on oma olemuselt spetsiifiline. Töö autorile teada olevalt ei ole Eestis täiskasvanute muusikaalast õpet toetavaid ja takistavaid tegureid uuritud. Bakalaureusetöö eesmärk oli välja selgitada muusikaalases kutseõppes õppivate täiskasvanute arusaamad õppimist toetavatest ja takistavatest teguritest. Läbi viidi kvalitatiivne uurimus.
