Ljudska univerza Jesenice (LUJ) je javna izobraževalna ustanova za odrasle z več kot šestdesetletno tradicijo. LUJ omogoča odraslim, da pridobijo, razširijo in obnovijo svoje znanje.

Letno izvedemo približno 14.000 ur izobraževanj za 7.000 udeležencev. Na voljo je širok nabor izobraževalnih programov za odrasle; od programov, ki vodijo v formalno izobraževanje, do velikega števila neformalnih programov, kjer odrasli pridobivajo tako strokovne kot ključne kompetence in znanja. Poleg tega odraslim nudimo vse potrebne podporne dejavnosti za uspešno učenje. Z vključitvijo v dejavnost svetovanja odraslim zagotavljamo podporo pri odločitvi za izobraževanje, jim pomagamo pri prepoznavanju in vrednotenju neformalno pridobljenih znanj in kompetenc ter pri pripravi vseh nadaljnjih učnih poti in kariernega razvoja.

Eden naših glavnih ciljev je zagotavljanje socialne vključenosti najbolj ranljivih odraslih v lokalni skupnosti.

LUJ zaposluje izobraževalce odraslih, kot so organizatorji izobraževanja odraslih, svetovalci, tehnično in administrativno osebje; pogodbeno letno dodatno sodelujemo z več kot 100 zunanjimi izvajalci z različnih področij. Vsi zaposleni imajo znanja in izkušnje pri vodenju projektov z vsebinskega, tehničnega in finančnega vidika.

Naš glavni vir dohodka so projekti različnih evropskih skladov in ministrstev.

Glavne dejavnosti LUJ so razdeljene v naslednje programe:

1) S svetovalno dejavnostjo, ki jo izvajamo po modelu ISIO, omogočamo različnim ciljnim skupinam (zaposlenim, brezposelnim, starejšim, invalidom, priseljencem, osipnikom in osebam s težavami v duševnem zdravju) dostop do informacij in svetovanja kot podpore pri proces izobraževanja in učenja. Nudimo jim podporo pri odločanju o izobraževanju, pri organizaciji in načrtovanju učenja, pri načrtovanju njihove nadaljnje izobraževalne poti in kariernega razvoja.

2) Socialna aktivacija (SA) je projekt za brezposelne ženske iz drugih kulturnih okolij, ki se soočajo z različnimi družbenimi izzivi od omejenega dostopa do trga dela, kulturnih ali jezikovnih ovir ter socialnih napetosti. Cilj projekta je učinkovito socialno vključevanje v sprejemno družbo, zlasti sposobnost interakcije in prijetnega počutja v novem družbenem okolju. Ta izobraževanja (jezikovna, sociokulturna itd.) ozaveščajo in spodbujajo konkretne priložnosti za izboljšanje naše skupnosti.

4) Večgeneracijski center LUJ je projekt, katerega cilj je izvajanje različnih preventivnih programov, namenjenih aktiviranju in integraciji pripadnikov različnih ranljivih ciljnih skupin ter preprečevanju njihove socialne izključenosti. V okviru projekta se vsakodnevno izvajajo programi, namenjeni spodbujanju socialne vključenosti, izobraževanja ter medkulturnega in medgeneracijskega povezovanja. Brezplačne aktivnosti so zasnovane tako, da so najbolj raznolike, zanimive, usmerjene v pridobivanje uporabnih, kakovostnih, najsodobnejših veščin in znanj, ki bodo ustrezala potrebam dela in vsakdanjega življenja pripadnikov ranljivih ciljnih skupin.

5) Univerza za starejše v okviru LUJ deluje na Jesenicah in v Kranjski Gori. Univerza združuje organizirane skupine starejših, ki ohranjajo in uporabljajo že pridobljeno znanje tudi po upokojitvi; poleg tega pridobivajo nova znanja na strukturiran in kontinuiran način. V tretjem življenjskem obdobju imajo novo možnost, da se naučijo vsega za kar v času zaposlitve niso imeli priložnosti.

Na LUJ imamo bogate izkušnje s sodelovanjem in vodenjem projektov Erasmus +.

 

Tekoči projekti Erasmus+, ki jih vodimo ali v katerih sodelujemo, so:

• KA1: Kakovost izobraževanja odraslih

• KA2: Most do večkulturnega učenja in ustvarjanja

• KA2: Učenje na daljavo za ranljive odrasle

• KA2: StoryComp- kompetence pripovedovanja zgodb za izobraževalce odraslih

• KA2: »Medgeneracijski most – povezani za ustvarjanje«

Adult Education Centre Jesenice (ACJ) is a public educational institution for adults with more than sixty years of tradition. ACJ enables adults to acquire, expand, and renew their knowledge.

Approximately 14.000 hours of training for 7.000 participants are implemented annually. A wide range of educational programs for adults is provided; from programs leading to formal education to a large number of non-formal programs where adults acquire professional as well as key competences and knowledge. In addition, we offer the adults all the necessary support activities for successful learning. By being included in the activity of counselling, we provide adults with the support in making the decision for education, assist them in recognizing and evaluating their non-formal acquired knowledge and competences as well as in the preparation of all further learning paths and career development.

One of our main objectives is a provision of social inclusion for the most vulnerable adults in local community.

ACJ employs professional adult educators, such as adult education providers, counsellors, technical and administrative staff; on a contract basis, we additionally cooperate with more than 100 expert teachers from various fields yearly. All employees have the knowledge and experiences in project management from the content, technical and financial point of view.

Our main source of income are projects from various European Funds and Ministries.

The main activities of the ACJ are divided in the following programs:

1) With the Counselling Activity, implemented by ISIO model, we provide different target groups (employed, unemployed, the elderly, disabled, immigrants, early school leavers, and persons with mental health disabilities) access to information and counselling as a support in the process of education and learning. We offer them the support when deciding on the education, with the organization and the process of learning, with planning their further educational path and career development.

2) Social Activation (SA) is a project for unemployed women from other cultural backgrounds who face various social challenges from limited access to the labour market, cultural or linguistic obstacles, and social tensions. The aim of the project is effective social integration in the receiving society, in particular the capacity to interact and feel at ease with the new social environment. These trainings (linguistic, socio-cultural, etc.) raise awareness and promote concrete opportunities for improving our communitiy.

4) The Multi-generational Centre of ACJ is a project that aims to implement various preventive programs intended to activate and integrate members of different vulnerable target groups and prevent their social exclusion. Programs intended to promote social inclusion, education, and intercultural and intergenerational integration are implemented within the scope of the project on a daily basis. Free of charge activities are designed to be the most diverse, interesting, aimed at acquiring useful, quality, up-to-date skills and knowledge that will meet the needs of the work and everyday life of the members of vulnerable target groups.

5) The Third Age University within the ACJ is active in Jesenice and in Kranjska Gora. The University combines organized groups of the elderly, who maintain and use already acquired knowledge even after their retirement; additionally, they acquire new knowledge in a structural and continuous way. In their third life period, they have a new possibility to learn all that they did not have the opportunity while being employed.

 

At ACJ we have extensive experience in cooperation and management of Erasmus + projects.
