The My Skills, My Future Workshop is designed to help those supporting others to recognise the transferable skills they have acquired outside of formal accreditation. Originally developed for young people with limited or no formal qualifications, it has now been seen to be extremely effective for older people and has been further developed to meet their needs.

Time: 10:00-15:00

Date: Tuesday 10 September 2019

Location: SCQF Partnership Offices, 201 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 2LW

The mains aims of the workshop are to enable advisers to use the My Skills, My Future suite of resources and harness the many benefits to use them with various individuals. The workshop will be most beneficial for those working as career advisers or as education professionals guiding individuals towards further learning.

Once training has been completed, advisers will be able to show individuals the skills they have gained and help them understand the extent of their informal and non-formal learning experiences. This will also encourage them to feel more confident and will boost their self-esteem.

The workshop includes the My Skills, My Future Toolkit, a lunch of sandwiches, savoury items, crisps, fruit, muffins and juice, and refreshments that are available throughout the day.

Payment must be received 7 days before the event and cancellations must be made 7 working days before the event to receive a 50% refund.
