O projeto selecionado pela ANQEP envolve três países europeus e seis parceiros (Município de Odemira e o Agrupamento de Escolas de São Teotónio, de Portugal; Ajuntament de Lleida e Escola Balàfia, de Espanha; e Comune di Follonica e ISIS Fallonica, de Itália) e tem permitido melhorar a integração de imigrantes e refugiados nestes territórios, caraterizados por possuírem comunidades imigrantes que correspondem a cerca de 13-20% da totalidade das suas populações.

Para o efeito, o projeto incide em atividades de promoção e de partilha de experiências, essencialmente no domínio da educação não formal, destinadas a adultos com filhos a frequentar estabelecimentos escolares de Odemira, Lleida e Follonica. Através de várias iniciativas, o projeto tem procurado melhorar o futuro destes adultos e, desse modo, também o dos seus filhos, sendo as escolas utilizadas como espaços de referência para a integração e inclusão das comunidades.

Digital exhibition Erasmus + will highlight a project developed in Portugal by a school and the Municipality of Odemira

"Growing together: Immigrants Empowerment Local Citizens and Educators" was the project chosen by ANQEP, as a national support service of the Electronic Platform for Adult Education in Europe - EPALE, to integrate a digital exhibition of adult education projects in the Europe supported by the Erasmus + program  during the celebrations of 2018 Erasmus Days (#ErasmusDays), on 12 and 13 October
The project selected by ANQEP involves three European countries and six partners (Municipality of Odemira and the Group of Schools with joint Administration of São Teotónio, Portugal, Ajuntament de Lleida and Escola Balàfia, Spain, and Comune di Follonica and ISIS Fallonica, Italy) and intends to improve the integration of immigrants and refugees in these territories, characterized by immigrant communities that account for about 13-20% of all their populations.

In order to reach its goals, the project focuses on activities to promote and share experiences, mainly in the scope of non-formal education, specially target to adults with children attending schools in Odemira, Lleida and Follonica. Through many initiatives, the project has sought to improve the future of these adults and thus their children's, with schools being used as reference points for the integration and inclusion of communities.
