MOCIS, Centre for adult education from Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia) is a public, non-profit institution. We involve different target groups in our education, with special attention to vulnerable groups (migrants, youth, unemployed, seniors). Our main aim is to increase people’s involvement in lifelong learning.
We provide primary school programmes for adults, secondary school programmes, language courses, computer courses, project learning for young adults etc. We have around 120 members at our University for Third Age. An important part of our work is providing information and support regarding adult education.
We have also established a Multigenerational centre, promoting interaction, cooperation and mutual support among generations.
We are interested in applying for a KA1 Erasmus+ programme and are looking for a European school/institution with a similar profile in order to perform job shadowing or exchange ideas and best practices.
Our aim is to learn from other similar institutions and share experience. We are open to different projects in the field of lifelong learning but have a special interest in:
- Innovative strategies for motivating learners in adult education, especially seniors and adult learners with a lower educational level;
- Effective and innovative teaching strategies and methods in adult education;
- Innovate approaches in multigenerational learning;
- Effective approaches in promoting life-long learning in social media.
In the future, we would be also be available for KA2 strategic partnerships.
