Eskişehir National Medical Rescue Team is a medical rescue team composed of medical professionals, which acts under the obligation of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health-Eskişehir Provincial Health Directorate and fulfils issues under unusual circumstances and disaster conditions.
We think that individuals with special needs feel the difficulties they experience while maintaining their normal lives more than normal at the moment of disaster and afterwards. In order to overcome this situation, we want to carry out some training and studies in order to make the communication of national medical rescue team members with individuals with special needs more efficient.
In these studies to be done before the disaster, it is aimed to meet the disaster teams and individuals with special needs, to inform them about what to do during a disaster and to minimize the difficulties they will encounter by establishing correct communication at post-disaster period.
In this context, these practices will be activated by preparing an e-book for the National Medical Rescue Team members and the health workers involved in disasters and by preparing e-games, animations and similar methods suitable for the individuals with special needs.
Our expectation from the groups that we want to make a strategic project partnership is that they are interested in this kind of subject and that they are schools, universities, health institutions and National Medical Rescue Team counterparts working with individuals with special needs.
