This one-day course will provide an opportunity for teachers from the adult education sector to come together in order to explore evidence-based strategies which can support students with dyslexia.

The course is facilitated by Michelle Kinsella, the Support and Development Officer (Adult Services) for the Dyslexia Association of Ireland.

Drawing from a breadth of resources, the course will include:

 - Understanding dyslexia

 - Building self-esteem for learners with dyslexia

 - Using literacy programs

 - Planning a session

 - How learning can be facilitated and supported both in the classroom and in students' own time

 - Assistive technology for learning

The course is suitable for individuals who are working with adults either on a one-to-one basis or class/group setting.
