Natural and cultural heritage sites, monuments, museums and intangible cultural assets offer the ideal context for learning. This doesn’t only concern learning about heritage but also learning through heritage and for heritage. It ideally is active, participative, competence driven and validated and relates to the meaning making and value frames of the visitors/participants. This view was shared by Guy Tilkin with the participants of the TCA international conference 'Paths towards Citizenship through European Cultural Heritage' in Palermo from 26 to 29 September 2018.
