Since 2012, the French coordination of EAAL has been conducting action-research work on the issue of transverse skills.. The aim is to equip professionals in their roles of guidance, social and professional integration with low skilled adults. The notion of “transverse” refers here to a set of skills that can be mobilized in various professional situations. They range in 5 dimensions: organization/ adaptability and autonomy/ sociability/ communication/ initiative and participation.
Experiments were conducted in parallel to verify the effectiveness and relevance of the approach, but also its nimbleness and adaptability to various contexts. Finally, the transverse skills framework was aligned with the “Basis of Vocational Knowledge and skills” by distributing the core skills.
The results of these experiments are two essential resources: a transvers skills framework and a guide for evaluation (not yet translate) incorporating a skills map itself, which can serve as a basis for the development of professionalisation, integration support or self-positioning, assessment aids.
Videos have been made for some of them in order to illustrate concretely the uses of the repository and its agile character. You will find the vidéos with english subtitles and the map of transvers skills.
