European Solidarity Corps - Call for voluntary project applications

Taal: EN

European Solidarity Corps

Do you work with young adults? Help them gain skills and experience through volunteering projects

Do you have a project idea that can inspire young adults to make a difference through volunteering and are looking for accessible funding?

Many organisations are already taking part in the European Solidarity Corps funding programme to enhance the prospects of their students through Volunteering Projects. Apply now for funding by 1st October 2019 to get involved!

Why choose Volunteering Projects?

Volunteering Projects are inclusive and provide opportunities for all. Choose a range of volunteering activities in your project to overcome barriers to participation for young adults aged 18-30 years old. The options available include:

  • Activities can take place in the UK or abroad: in-country activities are ideal for participants who are not ready or cannot go abroad due to other commitments, whilst those abroad will gain the added experience of other cultures and language skills.
  • Activities can last between 2 weeks to 12 months: shorter mobilities are ideal for participants who cannot commit to longer durations, whilst longer activities can challenge the more adventurous!
  • You can have individual placement or group placement activities: your participants can choose to volunteer on their own or in a group of 10-40 participants from two different countries.

Providing a range of volunteering activities can enhance your organisation’s provision and reputation by increasing inclusion.

Not only that, it can also:

  • help to empower communities through improving the skills of young adults and through organising local volunteering activities for social action; and
  • improve basic skills and employment prospects for young adults, through learning, personal development and active citizenship.

Where can I find out more?

Visit the ‘Volunteering Projects’ page of our website. Further information on the eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found on our Organisation page and in the 2019 Call European Solidarity Corps Guide. You can also look at look at our stories to give you an idea of what ESC Volunteering projects look like. If you have any further queries, please email us at

Have a browse through the attached info sheet '8 steps for organisations' (which you can also forward on to any relevant colleagues). As you already have a PIC number, your first step to apply is to gain a Quality Label, which is designed to ensure consistently high standards in Solidarity Corps’ activities and to help organisations find partners. You can apply for this now until the 4 September if you wish to make an application for the 1 October 2019 deadline.
