Sector bodies, including New Philanthropy Capital and NCVO have launched impact measurement guides for small charities. The resources are free and can also be used by medium sized charities to measure their impact. They are delivered on a website that provides many useful resources, following the merger of the Inspiring Impact and the Impact Management programmes.

The free guides include reports, frameworks and surveys, designed and compiled by approximately 200 charities and social enterprises. A short questionnaire is included to be used as a data diagnostic tool and offers advice on the kind of data to collect.
 

The National Lottery Community Fund Access funds the Inspiring Impact programme. Inspiring Impact aims to support the dissemination of good practice by encouraging continuous improvement in voluntary organisations. The website describes stages: Plan; Do; Assess; and Review and provides resources based around the process of moving through these.
