The Advance HE Teaching and Learning Conference 2019 will build on the success of the previous year, continuing to keep a global outlook, but focusing on innovation in teaching, which incorporates inclusive curricula and blended teaching. It will also consider innovative practice that supports employability, transition, retention, assessment and feedback.

Location: Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne

Date: 2-4 July 2019

Start time: 9:00

The first day of the conference will focus on the subject areas of Arts & Humanities and Health & Social Care. The second day will be interdisciplinary and the final day will consider Social Sciences and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The deadline for thematic submissions has now closed.  

Keynote speakers who work in the higher education sector will be invited to share their thoughts with delegates and will be announced at a later date. Last year’s conference featured a university professor, a higher education editor and the president of an online university, allowing for a detailed and varied view of the higher education field.

Interaction is an important aspect of the event. There will be a networking barbecue on the first evening and an evening meal and debate on the second. There are a range of different tickets available and early bird discounts of 15% off will be offered till 2 June. Attendees can book tickets for one or two days, or for the whole conference, as well as the barbecue and evening meal.
