TCA Study Visit: Public libraries and their roles and work with inclusion and learning


Apply now for the Erasmus+ Transnational Corporation Activities (TCA) seminar, 'Public libraries and their roles and work with inclusion and learning' by 10 March 2019. Applications will be accepted from UK based participants within the fields of Adult Education , particularly employees in libraries who are willing to learn and share practices on how public libraries can work as an inclusion and learning arena in the adult education sector.


Available funding

Selected participants based in the UK will receive up to 100% reimbursement of their travel costs, up to a maximum of 500 euro. Accommodation and subsistence is usually provided for free by the event organisers or else covered by the UK National Agency.

Profile of participants

The seminar is open to participants within the fields of Adult Education. The seminar is mainly targeted at employees in libraries who are willing to learn and share practices on how public libraries can work as an inclusion and learning arena. Participants should also be willing to explore the idea of participating in Erasmus+.


Themes and goals of the event:

  • Presentation of “learning in Norwegian libraries”

  • Give inspiration and share new ideas about libraries as an arena for integration

  • Discussion of the situation in the participating countries.

  • Study-visits to libraries in the region working actively with inclusion and learning.


Expected results:

  • Discussions and knowledge about Libraries as an inclusion and learning arena

  • Networking and sharing experience

  • Inspiration for the future work and European projects on the topic
