English Language Teaching Ireland (ELT Ireland) will be holding its 5th annual conference on the 16th and 17th of February in Griffith College Dublin.
The theme of the conference is "Why we do what we do in ELT".
The conference will include key note speakers from a number of Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) academics and trainers including: Russell Mayne of the English language teaching unit at the University of Leicester, England; Marjorie Rosenberg, lecturer in English and methodology in the Berufspaedagogische Akademie and the Paedagogische Akademie in Graz, Austria; and Steven Walsh, Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL at Newcastle University, England.
ELT Ireland is a network of people involved in teaching English as a foreign or second language in Ireland. It was founded to promote learning, development and best practice in English language teaching through sharing knowledge and experiences.
The ticket price is €60 for ELT Ireland members and €105 for non-members until 11:30pm on the 1st of February, and €75 for ELT Ireland members and €125 for non-members afterwards.
The ticket price for non-members includes annual membership of ELT Ireland, valid for 1 year from the date of the conference.
