Digital Transformation and Innovation in Further Education – Blended Learning Consortium

United Kingdom
Bromsgrove
to

The Digital Transformation and Innovation in Further Education event recognises that employers continually seek graduates with a high level of digital skills and that it is important for the FE sector to ensure graduates meet this requirement. This means that teachers need to encourage the use of digital methods across the curriculum and help to excel technological progress.

Time: 09:00-16:00

Date: Monday 1 July 2019

Location: Heart of Worcestershire College, Slideslow Drive, Bromsgrove, B60 1PQ

Ticket price: Members – up to 10 free places with the member booking code; Non-members welcome for £90 per ticket (inc. VAT)

Note: You will need to use the contact link via the Eventbrite event page to request the access code to book tickets. This applies to both members and non-members. The code itself is free.

Learners expect the FE sector to keep up-to-date with changes and advancements in technology, to champion these in their institutions and not to be afraid of experimenting with different approaches. Teachers must feel confident in delivering education that utilises technology and enhances the learning experience through digital mediums.

The use of technologies that embrace innovation and play an important role in meeting the needs of today’s learners include:

  • Office 365
  • Blended learning

  • Virtual and augmented reality
  • E-portfolios
  • Digital content authoring tools

More sessions will be added at a later date.
