Developing intercultural training skills is a five-day trainer-training course held at the training centre of LTS Training and Consulting in Bath, UK.

It is designed for experienced trainers from various fields, such as language training or communications skills training, who wish to develop and extend their knowledge and skills in the intercultural training field. The facilitators are Adrian Pilbeam and Philip O’Connor.

Since we launched this course in 2005, we have run more than 50 sessions both in Bath and abroad, attended by more than 500 participants. In the past, many participants received Grundtvig or Comenius grants. Since 2014, many participants have attended with Erasmus+ grants.

‘Developing intercultural training skills’ gives trainers the necessary knowledge and skills to integrate intercultural activities into their current areas of training and also gives them the tools to begin to design and deliver different kinds of intercultural training courses.
Verwachte leerresultaten: 
By the end of the course, participants will: Have a good understanding of the key concepts of the intercultural field. Be aware of how culture forms an integral part of international communication. Have ideas and skills for incorporating intercultural elements into their own areas of training. Be familiar with the main types of intercultural training know how to use different tools to evaluate the success of intercultural training
Erkenning / bewijs van deelname en/of leerresultaten: 
On successful completion of the course, participants are awarded an LTS 'Certificate in Intercultural Training'.
