The EMES International Research Network, in partnership with the Finnish Network on Social Enterprise (FinSERN), is pleased to announce the 5th International Research Conference on Social Enterprise entitled “Building a scientific field to foster social enterprise eco-system”.
This conference will provide a forum for international and interdisciplinary academic discussions about social enterprise, giving the floor to a variety of scientific approaches (non-profit sector, cooperatives, social economy, solidarity economy and civil society) as well as for emerging research communities (social innovation, social entrepreneurship, social investment, venture philanthropy, hybrid organisations, etc.).
In order to allow academic debate across fields and disciplines, the conference will be structured along 15 main thematic lines. Theme 15 is Social enterprise education, training and learning.
The conference starts officially in the afternoon of June 30th, 2015 with the opening plenary and a welcoming cocktail, and ends on Friday, July 3rd at 13:00. During the day of June 30th, a number of activities will take place, including various project meetings and activities and the Forum “From Research to Practice and Back”.
There are two types of registration (full and reduced) available depending on whether or not participants are members of EMES or PhD students (a proof of enrollment in a PhD program may be requested by the organisers if deemed necessary). The registration fee covers all conference materials, all lunches, one evening gala reception and two dinner events.
