 The Istanbul Maturation Institute, affiliated to the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Lifelong Learning, started education in 1945.

Sending partners for KA1 course in London, UK : ‘Positive futures: Building cultural, linguistic and personal confidence’. This 5-day course is for teachers, trainers, support workers and mentors from organisations working with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, including unaccompanied children and young people. Participants will develop their knowledge, confidence and skills around validating and increasing resilience, valuing cultural diversity and supporting and motivating their learners. The programme will explore how to build on learners’ strengths, what enables recover from multiple traumas and what can help people build new lives.

Study visit in Portugal with organizations on local and governor level, non-governmental organizations which are helping adults acquire a minimum level of literacy, numeracy and digital skills.

The Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE) has just started the ESF project “CHANCE- New Opportunities for Adults” focused on preparing and testing models for different groups of low skilled adults (literacy, numeracy and digital skills) in Poland. This project is supervised by the Polish Ministry of National Education. 

One of the tasks is to find out and compare how those adults are supported in Poland and other European countries.

HIGH-LEVEL PARTNERSHIP BUILDING

IAAD is a leading research association and education and training provider, located in Istanbul, Turkey, and received the solid trust of 21 organisations all over Europe resulting in 8 approved ERASMUS+ projects in the past 2 years of activity.

Margineni Prison

We would like to be a partner in a projects for adult education on Erasmus+ KA1 or KA2. Margineni Prison is a public institution in Romania, ensuring the execution of the custodial sentences, with the provision of the recuperative intervention of detainees into society and contributes to increasing community safety.

The staff takes care not only of learning and lifelong education of prisoners but also of the development of their professional careers. Besides the custody function, the Margineni Prison also fulfills the educational function.
