We are looking for partners interested in collaboration on an Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic partnerships project aimed at Roma national minority population. The community of Roma people is one of the most underprivileged ethnic minorities in Europe. Less than 1% are university students and many have problems finishing secondary education if not even ground school. Undereducation leads to social exclusion, difficulties in finding jobs, use of addictive or illegal substances, domestic violence and problems with law enforcement. Roma settlements are often fragmented and ghettoized in many EU countries. Roma joint/common language and their cultural heritage can be used to reorganize fragmented Roma communities. An important factor in the minority identity is the preservation of the language and its further inheritance, so the cultivation of the native language should also be an important part of Education, in addition to preserving traditions, history, customs, folklore and holidays. Roma/Gypsy minorities need more help in order to maintain their language and culture – our project can be the innovative tool needed for this. The overall objective of the project is to improve education and training offer in secondary and adult education by introducing new curricula and innovative tools aimed at Roma population and educators and teachers working with Roma population.
