Empowering Women in Construction: FEMCON Project Launches Key Resources to Foster Gender Equality in the Industry

The construction industry has long been recognized as a male-dominated sector, often overlooking the contributions and potential of women. Addressing this gender disparity is essential for creating a more inclusive and dynamic workforce. The FEMCON project, part of the Erasmus+ Programme, is making significant strides in this direction by introducing a range of innovative vocational education and training tools designed to empower women in construction.

Introducing FEMCON's Key Resources

FEMCON is proud to announce the release of several key resources aimed at advancing women's careers in the construction industry:

  1. FEMCON Inclusion Reach & Teach Toolkit: This toolkit provides vocational education and training (VET) educators and construction leaders with the tools needed to create Inclusion Action Plans. These plans promote gender equality and women's rights within the construction industry.
  2. FEMCON Curriculum: This comprehensive educational resource offers open educational materials to provide essential training for women pursuing careers in construction. It is designed to equip women with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this field.
  3. FEMCON Women in Construction Good Practice Showcase: This initiative highlights 35 case studies of successful practices that have enhanced female representation and career growth in construction. These case studies serve as valuable examples for industry leaders and educators.
  4. FEMCON Women in Construction Platform & Online Course: An interactive platform and course that supports collaboration and learning among women in construction. It incorporates resources from previous projects and facilitates knowledge sharing and skill development.
