The Grundtvig programme is the part of the EU’s larger Lifelong Learning Programme dedicated to nonvocational adult education. It focuses on the teaching and study needs of those in adult education, alternative education, and non-formal and informal learning settings, as well as the organisations delivering these services. In particular, Grundtvig has funded many projects that aim to train volunteers or to recognise the skills they have acquired, as well as initiatives that have provided volunteering opportunities to those keen to make a contribution to society.
