citizenship building at University - breaking new ground

IETC is actively looking for partners who are developing an Erasmus+ project around citizenship at University. Our staff have concentrated a lot on pedagogy so far. We are now willing to invest more energy in innovative actions that would facilitate citizenship at University.

Belfast Metropolitan College has partnered with organisations and education institutions in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania to deliver the Live Skills programme - a programme that enables young learners and professionals to develop business management skills and specific skills in the audiovisual creative fields.  The programme delivers both work based and cross-country learning opportunities.

WE WANT TO BE YOUR KA1 OR KA2 PARTNER

Dear all,

My name is Sona Stefkova, and I represent an adult educational company in Bratislava (Slovakia) - topcoach.sk.
We are interested to be a partner in your KA1 or KA2 projects, we can offer best practice and trainings related to soft-skills, self-development and leadership topics. We also have experiences leading Erasmus+ project (we are recently leading partner and partner of different projects).

There is little methodological professional material, - particularly ones related to adult learning – that may be of good help to organizations and professionals wishing to introduce work-based learning Therefore this project - in the context of which such a complex methodological handbook has been developed that promotes the introduction and effective application of work-based learning forms, the learning outcome-based training plans in adult vocational education and training across Europe - fills a large gap.

Benenden Health has released a wellbeing guide in partnership with HRZone, which enables users to ‘develop an age-diverse health and wellbeing strategy’ and meet the wellbeing needs of a multigenerational workforce. It provides a detailed description of the five generations currently making up the UK workforce and discusses ways to meet the needs of all of them. It will be most beneficial for employers and senior managers and is free to download.

In the ‘Work-based Learning & Apprenticeships’ network, 29 European educational agencies selected ten Austrian projects on the topic of “work-based learning” from over 350 projects from around Europe.  This brochure aims to disseminate the project results to a wider audience in Austria and highlight the sustainable benefits.

Različiti su oblici učenja na radnom mjestu koji nisu isključivi, već omogućavaju obuhvatnost znanja i vještina. Takvo se učenje planira kroz rutinske aktivnosti na nivou organizacije, kao i suočavanje sa zadacima i problemima za koje tek treba pronaći rješenja, a moguće je obučavati radnu snagu i kroz strukturirane programe izvan posla.

Digital learning workplace

Digital technologies have enormous potential to boost adult learning in the workplace. EPALE thematic coordinator Andrew McCoshan has been working with EU Member States on the ET 2020 Working Group on Vocational Education and Training to examine the opportunities and challenges involved. Citizens' Curriculum workshop

Workshop 5 focused on research and innovative practice to support upskilling and earnings progression, highlighting the powerful benefits that adult learning can confer. To realise those benefits, particularly for disadvantaged groups, providers and learners need flexibility. Orienting funding and quality assurance systems towards the outcomes of provision, rather than just its inputs and outputs, might help allow that flexibility.

We find a major shift in employers’ approaches to ageing workforces between 2009 and 2017, with strong decreases in those that offered no age management (47% to 30%) and those focusing on exit measures (21% to 6%), and an increase in active organizations (19% to 52%). Active age management is no longer concentrated in large and developing organizations, but has become a standard human resources tool economy-wide. Overall, there is a long-term trend away from exit measures towards the application of pro-active age management measures. More involvement of employers in retaining older adults in the workplace may signal a growing awareness of the changing demographic reality.

Netwerk Basiseducatie organiseert een opleiding voor kinderbegeleiders in de kinderopvang met als belangrijkste doel werknemers sterker te maken in hun job, zowel in de omgang met ouders, collega’s als leidinggevenden. Op de trefdag 'Geletterdheid op het werk: w@ is d@?' op 8 november in Brussel deelden coördinator Annelies Vandenberghe van Open School en lesgeefster Hannelore Boerave hun ervaring over hoe de samenwerking - onder meer met een buitenschoolse opvang in Koksijde - tot stand komt, hoe ze de inhoud bepaalden, de concrete aanpak en methodiek, de knelpunten, succesfactoren, enzovoort.

"Laaggeletterdheid is een van de meest hardnekkige en indringende vraagstukken in de Nederlandse samenleving", dat zei Arnold Devreese van de Nederlandse Sociaal-Economische Raad (SER) op de trefdag 'Geletterdheid op het werk: w@ is d@?' op 8 november in Brussel.

The Flanders Social and Economic Council (SERV) focuses on the theme of digitization. After all, not only the technologies used are changing, but also tasks and jobs, skills and competences, work forms and work formulas, revenue models and organizational structures are evolving. That is why the social partners published a vision paper and action plan as a start for a digital policy agenda for Flanders. The action plan contains recommendations and actions for the Flemish Government in seven areas. On the meeting day "Literacy at work: w @ is d @?" on November 8, 2019 in Brussels Mieke Valcke from the SERV told more about the plan.

De Sociaal-Economische Raad Vlaanderen (SERV) zet in op het thema digitalisering.  Niet alleen de gebruikte technologieën veranderen immers maar ook de taken en jobs, vaardigheden en competenties, werkvormen en arbeidsformules, verdienmodellen en organisatiestructuren evolueren. Daarom brachten de sociale partners een visienota en actieplan uit als aanzet voor een digitale beleidsagenda voor Vlaanderen. Het actieplan bevat aanbevelingen en acties voor de Vlaamse Regering op zeven terreinen. Op de trefdag 'Geletterdheid op het werk: w@ is d@?' op 8 november 2019 in Brussel gaf Mieke Valcke van de SERV meer uitleg.

Utilizarea multimedia în programele de învățare înseamnă mai mult decât utilizarea luminii sau a unui aparat foto. Trebuie să luați în considerare tipul de experiență pe care încercați să-l oferiți și modul în care multimedia va ajuta la îmbunătățire. Dacă obiectivul este realizarea unui conținut mai interesant și creșterea implicării membrilor, un material bine proiectat poate face acest lucru.

In the framework of the project Erasmus+ PRODOME, the study "The state of the art of domestic work in Europe" (deliverable 1) has been produced, based on desk and field research involving 54 experts and 109 domestic housekeepers via semi-directive interviews, a Delphi exercise and questionnaires.
