The purpose of the study was to explore the requirements of schools to increase intergenerational learning, collaboration and solidarity amongst the Baby Boomers, X and Y generations, based on the views of school principals. The research focused on how to create spaces for interaction among different generations and what consequences will arise when intergenerational spaces are created. This study was conducted with phenomenological research design.

The aim of this study was to examine the perspective of school administrators with regard to teachers from different generations. In this study, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of each generation were examined. This study was conducted as a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis. The study group consisted of 26 school administrators from the Dilovası district of Kocaeli province, Turkey.

Women in HE Conference 2020

The Women in HE Conference 2020 will take place in London on 23 January 2020 and the major theme is accelerating change for gender equality in the HE sector. Many notable speakers will be hosting sessions during the event and considerable focus will be given to specific issues such as harassment in the workplace, diversity on boards, the work-life balance and the glass cliff – a phenomenon that has seen women in leadership roles being held back rather than experiencing increased success.

The digital transformation of the economy brings new personal challenges with it. There is a need for decision makers and employees who have a fundamental understanding of the potential of digital applications and who are able to moderate a process of change in their companies. The project "Digitalisation - Strategy Development Tool for the Digitalisation of SME" makes a tangible contribution towards this with the development of a self-learning tool for these challenges that is freely available online and that can be used directly at the workplace.

Die digitale Transformation der Wirtschaft bringt neue personelle Herausforderungen mit sich. Es werden Entscheider*innen und Mitarbeiter*innen gebraucht, die ein grundlegendes Verständnis für das Potenzial digitaler Anwendungen haben und den Veränderungsprozess in ihrem Unternehmen moderieren können. Das Projekt „Digitalisierung – Strategieentwicklungs-Tool für die Digitalisierung von KMU“ leistet dazu einen konkreten Beitrag, indem es für diese Herausforderungen ein online frei zugängliches Selbstlern-Tool entwickelt hat, das direkt am Arbeitsplatz genutzt werden kann.

Ο Δεκέμβρης σηματοδοτεί το τέλος της τρίμηνης θεματικής μας εστίασης στην εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων στον χώρο εργασίας. Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της περιόδου, διερευνήσαμε λεπτομερώς ποιες είναι οι προκλήσεις για την εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων στο χώρο εργασίας, πώς η εκμάθηση στο χώρο εργασίας μπορεί να είναι επωφελής για τις επιχειρήσεις και συλλέξαμε παραδείγματα καλής πρακτικής από όλη την Ευρώπη.

People have an astonishing learning ability, but as we get older, especially in adulthood, our motivation tends to decline. As a child, we are naturally curious and free to explore the world around us. As an adult, we are concerned with protecting what we have learned to resist any information - or data - that would challenge our views and ideas. Today, there is a high demand for employees who have the ability and ability to quickly develop skills and adapt to new knowledge throughout their working lives. This demand increased with the recent technological developments.

W grudniu kończymy kwartał, w którym rozwijaliśmy temat uczenia się dorosłych w miejscu pracy. W tym czasie drobiazgowo zbadaliśmy, jakie wyzwania stoją przed uczeniem się dorosłych w miejscu pracy, poznaliśmy korzyści z uczenia się w miejscu pracy i zebraliśmy przykłady dobrych praktyk z całej Europy. Odwiedź naszą stronę tematyczną na temat uczenia się w miejscu pracy, aby poznać wszystkie posty na blogu, materiały i studia przypadków udostępnione przez społeczność EPALE (zawartość zależy od wyboru języka).

Gruodžio mėn. pasibaigė mūsų trijų mėnesių teminis dėmesys suaugusiųjų mokymuisi darbo vietoje. Per tą laiką mes išsamiai ištyrėme, kokie iššūkiai laukia suaugusiųjų mokymosi darbo vietoje, kaip mokymasis darbo vietoje gali būti naudingas įmonėms ir surinkome gerosios patirties pavyzdžių iš visos Europos.

Decembris ir noslēdzošais mēnesis tematiskajam fokusam, ko aizsākām oktobrī - pieaugušo mācības darba vietā. Šajā laikā mēs centāmies izpētīt, kādi uzdevumi ir jārisina  pieaugušo izglītībai darba vietā un kā tā jāorganizē, lai  šāda aktivitāte  būtu izdevīga uzņēmumiem. Mēs apkopojām labas prakses piemērus no visas Eiropas.
