Looking for contacts in SCHOOL libraries for case studies on game based learning and gamification

I have just signed a contract with Facet publishing (part of CILIP the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) to write a book about game-based learning and gamification in SCHOOL libraries. It will have an international outlook so any contributions from those of you on this list from overseas would be especially welcome.

The idea is to combine learning theory and practical ideas using a variety of games - simple powerpoints and similar, more complex computer games - commercial and home made, board games and other physical games, multimedia and virtual reality, live games involving role play etc, interactive displays and as well as a couple of theory chapters there will be concluding chapters on how to use these games within the library and then looking at how library ideas can influence curriculum teaching. There will also be a chapter on gamification whereby a reward or points are given for achieving a target eg Accelerated Reader (though other examples of this would be extremely welcome).

What I am asking for is whether any of you might have contacts with school libraries or school library organisations in your countries who might be happy to complete a one page form for me outlining something done in their library. It must be library based or originate from the library - I'm not interested in games that may be incorporated by teachers in the school. I won't be mentioning names - just kind of school and age of students and country and I may have to edit them down. I can't guarantee inclusion in the book but will try and get as many as I can into the text and will acknowledge all contributors

If you are interested in helping that would be fantastic. Please contact me at sarahjpavey@gmail.com and I will send you or your contact a template. I would need to have the case study templates back by the end of December

Many thanks in advance and I really hope this is going to be a useful book geared specifically to the school library. I know EPALE is mostly concerned with adult learners but I am also aware from attending conference that there are some librarians and also people who work closely with schools. I think this book will also have appeal beyond the school library in adult education, public libraries, youth centres, immigration centres and museum based education. So reaching out to the amazing EPALE community
