National qualifications framework developments in Europe

This report covers 42 national qualification frameworks (NFQs) in 38 countries, signalling that these frameworks have rapidly become an important part of the European education and training landscape. the shift towards learning outcomes promoted by the European Qualification Framework (EQF), and the associated NQFs, can be seen as an important contribution to the modernisation of European education and training in general, and vocational educational and training in particular. In this report Cedefop are sharing how NQFs are structured, and what stage of development they have reached in each country when referenced to the EQF.
