Tools for and Audience Development Training

Studio RisorseObiettiviStrumenti (Studio ROS) and Tools for Culture are two Italian organizations engaged in crafting a project on audience development with the intention of submitting it to a EU call within the “Erasmus Plus” programme. It refers to the Key Action 2[1] - Cooperation for innovation and good practice exchange - of the Erasmus Plus programme that is designed to develop the education sector through different activities. At the moment we are interested in working under the sub-action Strategic Partnership for education in order to develop an innovative training curriculum and a map of competences for the cultural organisations on the topic Audience Development of cultural organizations.

The issue proves crucial in these years, also due to the acknowledgement of culture as a unique and powerful asset for socio-economic growth, also through new and wide options for employment. Within such a framework the EU is encouraging the transition od cultural organisations towards a more effective audience-centric orientation. The proposal deadline[2] for the above mentioned Action is 29/03/2017. At this stage we are seeking organisations active in the educational and training sector in other European Countries, interested in co-constructing consulting, educational and training services in audience development for cultural organisations and at the same time being directly connected with cultural organisations interested in developing their competences in audience development.

More specifically our project aims at elaborating, crafting and piloting an innovative curriculum focused upon training in Tools for Audience Development (TAD), for strategic approaches and technical skills of cultural management toward their application and enhancement of various actions related to festivals, concerts, drama, opera, dance, etc.; the project is based upon non-formal and informal learning models whose main target is facilitating inclusive access to culture and to extracting value from site-rooted cultural organisations. Our orientation is to work together with our partners in order for our common project to be accurately tailored to the specific needs of any involved organisation.

Therefore, if you find that this proposal suits your objectives, please contact us at your earliest convenience and we will be glad to start a dialogue and to discuss further details with you.
