Available now: Toolkit for language teachers on how to work with volunteers
As the name suggests, the Volunteers in Language Learning for Refugees project (ViLL) exists to research and share best practice around how volunteers can support refugees to learn language. We don't want to replace paid, properly trained teachers - the research and findings focus on how volunteers can supplement professional provision, rather than replace it. The research project is a collaboration between 5 language teaching organisations from the UK, Denmark, Belgium, Germany and Austria and draws on practice from language teachers and groups across Europe.
Our new toolkit for teachers is now available to download for free on our website: https://volunteersinlanguagelearning.eu/for_teachers/
The toolkit is a practical guide for teachers on working with volunteers. It includes a range of lesson activities that can be used in collaboration with volunteers.
