The Association of Spanish Language Teachers in Serbia is the first professional association of Spanish language teachers founded in 2016 with the aim to strengthen the cultural values of the Kingdom of Spain and the expansion of Hispanic studies in Serbia. The Association emphasizes the professional development and strengthening of the staff in order to expand the Spanish language and Spanish culture. The reason why the association finds it important to expand Spanish language and culture is because the Spanish-speaking population is one of the fast-growing segments in the world. The Spanish-speaking segment constitutes a huge community that shares products, services, and culture, offering businesses and institutions a truly unique growth opportunity.

Our KA1 Mobility project “The Culture and the Use of ICT in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language” includes: a 7 days stay in Spain, a course in Salamanca, guided visits of historically and culturally most significant places and organized additional cultural activities. Six teachers had an opportunity to participate in this mobility project, and immediately after the mobility period, we started to prepare digital and didactic material for new school year and for the workshops for Spanish language teachers that will be organized during the school year.
