Pirmojoje renginio dalyje Lietuvos suaugusiųjų švietimo asociacijos ekspertas Arūnas Bėkšta neformaliojo suaugusiųjų švietimo organizatoriams rajone pristatė tarptautinio suaugusiųjų kompetencijų tyrimo (PIAAC), kuriame 2012- 2016 m. dalyvavo ir Lietuva, rezultatus. Jau savo pristatymo pavadinimu PIAAC rezultatai: „Nėra taip blogai“ ar „Galėtų būti geriau“?

Tai pirmasis NordPlus Adult programos projekto „Jauskis geriau su knyga: skaitymas geresnei savijautai vyresniame amžiuje” (NPAD-2016/10321)  partnerių susitikimas.

The IT Sligo Webinar Series is pleased to host an "Extended Virtual Symposium", a series of 6 weekly webinars, for the moocs4all.eu project in conjunction with the third delivery of the MOOC "Making MOOCs on a Budget". The theme of the symposium is "Lowering the cost of education" and the webinars will be presented by six international leaders in the provision of free and low-cost accredited learning online. With online provision, community based learning is encouraged where appropriate and it is not uncommon to find project based models for learning incorporated within pedagogies. Group interaction, critical thinking and constructive critiques are frequently facilitated though problem solving exercises within the provision. However, where value is placed on the student’s personal ability in skills such as creativity and ingenuity, perseverance and tenacity, enthusiasm and motivation, and these are encouraged and rewarded within an online pedagogy, such behaviours can be counterintuitive to students who are more accustomed to a collective model.

Předkládaná studie je první prací, jež usiluje o komplexní zmapování občanského vzdělávání dospělých v České republice. Základní problém, který se při analýze projevil, je absence dlouhodobé koncepce občanského vzdělávání. V současné době není jasné, co považujeme za občanské vzdělávání a co nikoli, nepanuje shoda na jednotné podobě a nejsou k dispozici vhodné prostředky pro další rozvoj. Jednotlivé evropské státy zpravidla mají velmi odlišné modely občanského vzdělávání, které respektují kulturní odlišnosti a vycházejí z národních tradic.

Darbinieku kvalifikācijas celšana ir būtiska gandrīz visiem darba devējiem. To apliecināja šā gada augustā tika veikta devēju aptauja* par kvalificēta darbaspēka pieprasījumu, kuras ietvaros tika noskaidrots 98 uzņēmumu viedokli no visām tautsaimniecības nozarēm. 60% no respondentiem veidoja lielie vai vidējie uzņēmumi ar darbinieku skaitu virs 50. Aptauju veica Latvijas Darba devēju konfederācija (Anita Līce, Izglītības un nodarbinātības jomas vadītāja).

Baby sign language allows parents to communicate with their infants before they have learned to talk. Using Irish Sign Language, the Superhands Baby Sign App enables parents to access sign language on the go. The jury commented that "this is a very good, creative use of technology to support parents/guardians to learn signing for communicating with small children."

For the past three years, groups of native speakers of the foreign languages taught in the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics at the University of Limerick have been recruited to facilitate discussion groups or one-to-one sessions with local students who are learning their language. The project helps both language learners and the peer-facilitators as it boosts engagement in learning and integrates international students into the UL community. The jury commented that it is "an excellent project that places communication at the heart of developing language and intercultural competencies".

Hands in Motion is the school choir of St Mary's School for Deaf Girls. It brings together students with various levels of hearing loss to learn music through Irish Sign Language - listening, signing, dancing and singing in harmony. The jury commented that "it gave the pupils confidence and recognition. Music is used as a bridge between the Deaf and the hearing community".
