Intercultural Communication in Education

The beginning of the training will give an opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better, after that will follow an introduction of the training program and objectives.  

The following session will examine the notion of culture, the relation between the culture and the language and the importance of understanding cultural differences. Thanks to informal methodologies we will analyse some effective intrapersonal and interpersonal communication skills required to build relationships.

Looking for partners for job shadowing and good experience exchange

Hello Adult learners!

Educators  are looking for partners in sharing experiences of distance learning methods for improvement.

We are Latvian adult high school, called the Jelgava district Correspondence School, and are located in Jelgava region. 

We are working with the training method as distance learning and use the Moodle system of distance learning provision. 

Our main themes of which we would like to write the project is the exchange of experience and knowledge of distance learning:

Warum ich EPALE Botschafterin bin

Ich bin ein Kind der Erwachsenenbildung mit einer starken Tendenz zur Bildungssucht: Mein Abitur habe ich auf dem zweiten Bildungsweg gemacht und nach einigen spannenden Umwegen und etlichen Fortbildungen bin ich nun freiberufliche Trainerin / Referentin / Seminarleiterin in der beruflichen Bildung. Das mögen ja schon mal brauchbare Voraussetzungen für eine EPALE Botschafterin sein, doch es gibt mehr, was mich für diese Aufgabe motiviert. Und das möchte ich hier beschreiben.

Lezione in classe multilingue: il valore della lingua madre

La lingua è sempre portatrice di valori culturali che non sono affatto da sottovalutare in uno scambio comunicativo. Quest’ultimo, in una classe con studenti che parlano lingue differenti, è un processo molto complesso, che si realizza per gradi e che sa cogliere tutte le sfumature messe in atto per la sua promozione. Si tratta di uno scambio, di una conoscenza reciproca continua fra gli studenti, non solo relativamente a codici linguistici diversi, ma anche per ciò che concerne i modi di essere e di vedere di cui i codici linguistici stessi sono portatori.

Partners for a KA204 Erasmus+ project on distance language learning

The EOI Madrid-Jesús Maestro is looking for partners for a KA204 Erasmus+ project. Our project will focus on the technological and academic challenges of serving physically-present and distance learners synchronously, and on how those two learning environments can be truly fused in a single, enriched learning community. The demands placed on teachers and students will be researched, with the aim of producing relevant literature, and transferrable experiences and toolkits.

Mokymosi visą gyvenimą paradigma ne tik išplėtė suaugusiųjų mokymosi galimybes, iš esmės pakeitė ne tik iki tol nusistovėjusius mokymo(si) proceso dalyvių vaidmenis, bet suponavo naujas jų atsakomybes ir išryškino naujų kompetencijų poreikį. Viena esminių šiuo požiūriu yra suaugusiųjų mokėjimo valdyti savo mokymąsi arba, kitaip sakant, savivaldžio mokymosi kompetencija.

Tillgänglighetsarbete på bibliotek i Sverige, Litauen och Serbien

Folkbiblioteken ska vara tillgängliga för alla. Speciellt anpassade tjänster och material ska finnas tillgängliga för personer som av någon anledning inte kan utnyttja det ordinarie utbudet, exempelvis människor som tillhör en språklig minoritet, har funktionsnedsättningar eller vistas på sjukhus eller inom kriminalvården. Kravet på tillgänglighet fastslås i IFLAs/Unescos folkbiblioteksmanifest. Men hur kan vi anpassa våra tjänster för att nå ut till de vi inte redan når ut till? Och hur marknadsför vi dem på bästa sätt? Detta var temat för en bibliotekskonferens i Panevėžys, Litauen, i oktober 2019.
