Using Erasmus+ for continuous professional development in Community Education

Jim Sheehan is Director of The Social and Health Education Project (SHEP). SHEP is a community education and development project founded in 1974 that is active in Cork, Kerry and Limerick. SHEP have used Erasmus+ Adult Education funding to support staff training and professional development since 2014.  Jim shares SHEP’s experience of using Erasmus+, and his advice for  organisations considering getting involved.

Odborný seminár splnil očakávania

Dňa 20. novembra 2019 sa v  Banskej Bystrici uskutočnil odborný seminár s názvom „Ako vytvárať a podporovať šance dospelých s nízkym stupňom vzdelania?“. Na seminári na zúčastnilo takmer 60 odborníkov z verejnej správy a samosprávy, mimovládneho sektora, úradov práce, sociálnych vecí a rodiny ako aj študenti andragogiky z Univerzity Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici.

Si tratta di uno scambio, di una conoscenza reciproca continua fra gli studenti, non solo relativamente a codici linguistici diversi, ma anche per ciò che concerne i modi di essere e di vedere di cui i codici linguistici stessi sono portatori.

We are a small adult education organisation (from Soča valley, West part of Slovenia), a young team of teachers who wish to gain new experiences in adult education. We are looking for partners interested in collaboration on an Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic partnerships project aimed at Roma national minority population. The community of Roma people is one of the most underprivileged ethnic minorities in Europe. Less than 1% are university students and many have problems finishing secondary education if not even ground school. Undereducation leads to social exclusion, difficulties in finding jobs, use of addictive or illegal substances, domestic violence and problems with law enforcement.

Lernen am dritten Ort? Das Interview mit Denis CRISTOL

​​​​​​​Lernen am dritten Ort?  Dieses Thema fasziniert Denis CRISTOL, Direktor für Technik und Ausbildung bei CNFPT, Associate Researcher am Paris Ouest Nanterre und Experte für pädagogische Innovationsthemen.  Erstens, weil der Begriff des Lernens, den er entwickelt und umsetzt, sich mit allen Bedingungen befasst, die den Akt des Lernens erleichtern. Und auch, weil der Ort ein relevanter und aufschlussreicher Indikator für die Konzeption von Training und Lernen ist. Dass sich unsere Ausbildungsstätten und Aulen vom Mittelalter bis heute wenig verändert haben, muss vielleicht eine Bedeutung haben, sagt er uns in als Einleitung.
