Co-creation is more than participation. It implies that different stakeholders co-initiate, co-design and co-implement a project or programme together. This report, created in the frame of the Erasmus+ project “Co-Create”, aims to analyse the situation in the participating countries of Austria, Denmark and Finland.

We cannot afford to let the future of our communities, nations or children be determined by post-truth politics, fake-news, myths, algorithms, unicorns, multi-nationals or privileged elites! Dafydd Rhys argues why a revived, broad based and adequately funded network of life-long learning chances are needed to facilitate the rebuilding of communities and address the democratic deficits, both locally, nationally and in workplaces. At the heart of that provision should be an empowering non-partisan democratic engagement curriculum.

6 volunteer organisations from Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary , and Romania started the project “Volunteer Organizations‘ Input to Community Education (VOICE)” under the EU-programme Erasmus+. Within this project partners explored the community education approach practiced by volunteer centers, intercultural centers as well as neighborhood centers, and exchanged their expertise in providing non-formal learning and training opportunities for their communities. As a result of this project they created this E-Book with an input about community education, practical tips on implementation of community education in local communities, the role and success factors of volunteer/neighbourhood/intercultural centers as important providers of community education as well as a good practice collection of learning and training programs offered by the involved partners.
A family learning together

Cath Harcula adds to the series of blog posts exploring adult learning and workforce development, focusing on family learning. The family learning workforce is noted to have struggled to evidence the impact of their work and that it requires an evidence collecting and sharing model to enable the sector to grow. Cath will be delivering the process model at the EPALE UK and Learning & Work Institute joint annual conference on 23 October 2019.

On 10 and 11 of October, in Lazarevac, Republic of Serbia, the Second national festival and the First regional festival of horticultural libraries were held. They were organised by Mirko S. Markovic, head of the Horticultural libraries network and the host library National library “Dimitrije Tucovic” from Lazarevac.

Euroopa Täiskasvanuhariduse veebikeskkonna EPALE Eesti Keskus ja Eesti Täiskasvanute Koolitajate Assotsiatsioon ANDRAS korraldavad koostöös V koolitajate mittekonverentsi. Koolitajate mittekonverentsi eesmärk on täiskasvanuhariduse kogukonna arutelukultuuri edendamine ning kogukonnale olulistele küsimuste fookusesse seadmine, et leida üheskoos neile lahendus.

2019. augusztus 25-28. között került megrendezésre a III. Pécsi Tanuló Fesztivál, melynek idei mottója a „Tanuló közösségek és Közösségi Tanulás” volt. Az első két napon előadásokon és workshopokon vehettek részt az érdeklődők, melyek közül a Civil Közösségek Háza adott otthont több szakmai előadásnak is.

We got an amazing experience to be invited to the EPALE Conference 2019. We gained new knowledge, information regarding the adult learning, also about how to use the platform and how we will be able to leverage it in the future.

We also got an opportunity to share our experiences with EPALE platform. As we are starting now our Erasmus Plus projects, we will be even more aware of all great features, which is offering EPALE for project implementation and dissemination.

Thank you again team EPALE, EPALE Slovakia, we really appreciate to get this opportunity.
