Beginning in November 2018, The SCRIPT (Supporting Coproduction of Resources Informal Participative Theatre) is a project co-financed with the support of the European Union through the ERASMUS + who is meant to improve the quality of youth work provision across Europe. SCRIPT is a drama, performance and multimedia program based on coproduction of a set of new training and resources for the use of outreach youth work practitioners to provide informal learning opportunities for socially excluded young people. The target group includes in particular young offenders, young people at risk of offending and NEET (young people who do not take part in education or training) young people aged 18-25.
SCRIPT supports youth workers to develop the lifelong, transferable skills of socially excluded young people. It’s also focuses on the educational and emotional readiness of these young people who want to fulfill their potential - becoming more inclusive citizens and taking alternative pathways into further informal/formal education, volunteering and employment. Promoting quality youth work and promoting empowerment are the main objectives of these program.
The SCRIPT methodology provides a bespoke approach to learning, to suit the different, complex needs specific to the individual young people participating - including educational needs, emotional needs, social needs, and physical needs. Also, the SCRIPT project offers an exciting opportunity to put contemporary creative digital, multimedia, performance up skilling at the centre of addressing the lack of outreach youth work.
The Transnational Project Meeting (TNM1), organize by No Place Productions (NPP), will take place at 25-29.11.2019, in Liverpool, UK.
