Healthier through Language (in Dutch: Taal maakt gezonder) is an awareness raising campaign in The Netherlands in collaboration with The Reading & Writing Foundation and VELO (Unified Primary Health Care Organizations). The aim of the campaign is to make primary health care providers aware of the issue and motivated to be involved in its solution. Several methods are combined in the campaign such as a website, a notebook, articles, banners, a waiting room booklet and a poster. These materials are spread around among health professionals (and their patients) to inform and inspire them.  In several VELO-channels articles are placed which talk about low literacy and ways to tackle it. Apart from that training is provided for the health care professionals. Research before and at the end of the campaign is performed.
